WOOFPORT: The Rigging Standard

WOOFPORT operates out of an old ship building shop in Westport, MA a space originally designed for the construction of small wooden ships. We don't make accessories; we continue a tradition of load-bearing craftsmanship.

The idea for WOOFPORT began on a launch boat. Our founder noticed a glaring technical failure: high-end dog harnesses attached to cheap brass flag clips. These clips are designed to hold 2oz of nylon flag in a breeze, not a dog capable of generating hundreds of pounds of force.

When we looked for professional-grade alternatives, we found only "nautical" fashion cotton ropes and plated zinc hardware that degrades in salt air.

We decided to build the maritime alternative.
